Ehren is a second-year California Western School of Law student with a B.A. in English from CU Denver. After undergrad, he worked for in-house counsel at Broadridge, where he gained valuable experience in contract drafting and regulatory compliance. Ehren continued working in tandem with the legal department for the next five years after transitioning to a position as a Mutual Fund Analyst. Working closely with in-house counsel to address complex issues and build lasting client relationships sparked his interest in a legal career, as he saw firsthand the value attorneys provide to business growth.
Ehren is thrilled to join New Media Rights. He looks forward to using his work experience while furthering his legal education to help creative professionals navigate the challenges of the Internet and new media.
Luke McKay Turner is a dedicated third-year law student at California Western School of Law, set to graduate in May 2025. A first-generation law student with a strong commitment to academic and professional growth, Luke received his M.A. and B.A. degrees in Political Science from Florida Atlantic University.
Luke is deeply involved in leadership, having served as the President of both the Student Intellectual Property Law Society and the Business Law Society at Cal Western. He actively participated as a member of California Western’s Trial Team and currently serves as the C.F.O. of the Moot Court Honors Board. These roles highlight Luke’s passion for advocacy, collaboration, and making a positive impact on their peers and the legal community.
In addition to his time at law school, Luke has gained practical legal experience by serving as a law clerk at a personal injury law firm and externing with a U.S. Federal Magistrate Judge. His career interests lie in business litigation, entertainment, and intellectual property law.
When not focused on law, Luke enjoys living in San Diego, exploring his love for lively social outings, going to the beach, trying new foods, and sharing life with his partner. Luke is also known for their quick wit, thoughtful insights, and dedication to building meaningful connections in both personal and professional settings.
Tommy is a second-year law student at California Western School of Law, with a unique background as a former athlete and actor. Combining his passion for entertainment with a strong legal foundation, he aims to pursue a career in entertainment law.
In addition to his athletic and acting careers, Tommy has gained valuable in-house legal experience, working with organizations such as Vistage Worldwide and ProPath, where he supported contract negotiations, intellectual property issues, and compliance matters. These experiences have fueled his desire to work at the intersection of law and entertainment, where he hopes to advise clients on contracts, intellectual property, and media rights.
Fluent in Spanish, Tommy is committed to merging his diverse background with his legal expertise to help shape the future of entertainment law.
Elisabeth is a third-year student at California Western School of Law with a passion for internet constitutional issues, journalism, and copyright law. Before law school, Elisabeth earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Ecology from the University of California, Irvine, and worked as a Research Associate at UCI's Department of Medicine, managing data for pharmaceutical and behavioral research.
Elisabeth brings valuable legal experience as a former paralegal at Brian S. King, PC, where she supervised all discovery processes related to denied mental healthcare claims, specializing in Federal ERISA and Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act cases. She also interned with the American Civil Liberties Union of Utah, screening prisoner communications and identifying cases for potential legal action. Her background includes experience as a freelance news writer for The Catalyst Magazine, where she received a 2018 Society of Professional Journalists Award.
Elisabeth is excited to join New Media Rights to combine her interests in government, constitutional issues, and media law while helping creators navigate complex legal landscapes. In addition to legal studies, Elisabeth enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with family.
