Madison is a third-year student at California Western School of Law with a passion for sports, entertainment, and copyright law. Before law school, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Finance from San Diego State University. She also gained early professional experience as an audit intern for a local CPA firm, where she assisted California schools with government funding compliance.
Madison brings valuable legal experience as a summer law clerk with Shegerian & Associates, where she drafted numerous legal briefs and assisted with trial preparation and execution on several high-profile employment and entertainment-based lawsuits. She also served as an NCAA Compliance and Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) Intern for the San Diego State University Athletics Department. There, she worked directly with student-athletes and multi-million dollar companies, drafting endorsement contracts, providing trademark licensing, and writing institution-specific agent and NIL policies. Notably, she was also involved in the landmark House v. NCAA settlement, conducting impact reports to determine how the university and its student-athletes should respond.
Madison is excited to join New Media Rights to combine her interests in intellectual property, sports, and media law while helping creators navigate complex legal landscapes. In addition to her legal studies, she enjoys exercising, hiking, going to the beach, and spending time with friends and family.
