Event Description: Apps Challenge Hack Day Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (PT) San Diego, CA What is SD Apps Challenge: (from website) Mayor Sanders and the City of San Diego are challenging the software developer community to create new apps using city and partner data. Winners will receive $50,000 in cash prizes as well as promotional exposure. Prizes will be awarded for apps that enhance city services and quality of life for San Diegans, and that use the data in innovative ways. The schedule is very loose with little fluff to maximize time to hash out ideas, create teams, and then begin work.
