"Save KLSD" explores the struggle of a progressive, San Diego AM radio station and the near extinction of local and diverse radio in America. As more corporate conglomerates buy up independent news outlets, fewer voices and perspectives are heard and broadcasters become less accountable. To ensure that the media meet their obligations to operate in the public interest, we support diversity, accessibility, and accountability among media corporations and the government agencies that regulate the media. The film features interviews with Common Cause leaders including CEO Bob Edgar, national chair Robert Reich, and board member and former FCC Commissioner Michael Copps. It also includes comments by broadcast hosts Ed Schultz, Amy Goodman, Thom Hartmann, Randi Rhodes, Cenk Uygur, Stacy Taylor, and Roger Hedgecock, as well as Senator Barbara Boxer, former Obama administration member Van Jones, Richard Wolffe and many other experts and activists. Hope to see you there, Anjuli Kronheim and the rest of the team at California Common Cause
